Relativity
1953
In 1937 M.C. Escher created his first "impossible reality" titled, "Still Life and Street." He created this impossible reality in his mind rather than observations from the world. In this style he created one of his most well-known works, "Drawing Hands." During his graphic art, Escher used mathematical relationships among his subjects and black and white to enhance different dimensions. Feeling that math was a strong concept to art, Escher created a notebook comprised with his works titled, "Regelmatige vlakverdeling in asymmetrische congruente veelhoeken" in 1941. He began to explore the concept of infinity in 1956, when he created the series, "Circle Limit."  Escher used all of these concepts, and more, together to created an immense amount of books and works.

In 1969 M. C. Escher's business advisor created the M.C. Escher Stichting, which composed of almost all of his works and prints. His works are held copyrighted by many companies, however his work can be found everywhere today. M.C. Escher perfectly demonstrates the use of space and dimension in his works and pulls any audience in. His works are mystical and mysterious, inviting people to enjoy and explore the space.
