Neville Brody is a graphic designer, typographer and art directed born in London, England. Brody began his art career when he attended Hornsey College of Art in 1975, where he studied Fine Art. He eventually went to London College of Printing where he studied for a 3 year B.A. course in graphics. During this time punk rock was beginning to emerge, which held impact on Brody and his work. In 1980 he became the Art Director of The Face magazine which popularized his record cover designs.

Thames & Hudson published two books with Brody's work, in 1988, which became the world's best selling graphic design book. In 1994 Brody and his business parter Fwa Richards launched their own design firm, Research Studios. Throughout his life Brody has continued to push the boundaries of his art and ultimately show the world that art does not always have to be subjective.

Ocean's 11 and Ocean's 12
I first encountered Brody's art when a classmate of mine researched him for a project he was doing. I could automatically see his influence from the 80's rock movement and their "rebellious" feel.  Brody intertwines typography and graphic design flawlessly, producing some amazing and fascinating results. I love the fact that he seems to make his art for himself and disregards what the stereotypical art world would view of him.
